One Direction

One Direction is a young band of British and Irish singers based in London. They became famous after finishing 3rd in the TV talent-search show The X Factor in 2010. They performed in the closing ceremony of 2012 Olympics in London. Their popularity in the US has been called another ‘British Invasion’. The first ‘British Invasion’ was with The Beatles and The Rolling Stones. One direction can be seen on Japanese TV show ‘Music Station’ on January 18th.
