“Almost Japanese like fish” – should be “Almost all Japanese like fish” or “Most Japanese like fish”
almostを使って‘ほとんどの’　と言いたい時、かなり多くの方が間違われます。全部の中のほとんど、という意味なので、‘ほとんどの日本人’は、almost all Japanese, となります。mostにすれば、most Japanese　でOKです。ちょっと紛らわしいですけどね。もう一例挙げてみますと、Almost all companies have a holiday in August. Most companies have a holiday in August.　(ほとんどの会社は、８月に休みをとります。)
