Pub Meal: Toby Carvery, Basingstoke

A carvery is a pub that serves several kinds of roasted meat, cut for you by the chef; and you can help yourself to vegetables, including roast potatoes.

Carvery は、数種のロースト（ビーフ、ポーク、ターキーなど）と、ローストポテト、ゆで野菜など、ローストディナー専門のパブレストランです。こちらは、トビーカーベリーで撮った写真です。まずはパブでビールを買って席に着き、出来立てのロースト肉が並ぶカウンターへ。お肉はシェフが目の前でカットし、ヨークシャープディングとともに、お皿にのせてくれます。野菜類はビュッフェスタイルでとります。グレービー、ブレッドソース、フルーツソースなど、ソース類も充実しています。こちらのように、庭が広く、外で食事ができるお店もあります。（あいにくこの日は小雨でしたが）
