YouTube Video: Trevor Noah on Trump

Trevor Noah, the South African presenter of The Daily Show in the US, had this to say about the recent anger over Trump’s insensitive manner in speaking to the families of soldiers killed in service. This time, the subtitles are accurate, so I don’t need to type them out.

Noah makes the point that Trump is continuously trying to cover up by lying for something that he had done by mistake, instead of just saying “Sorry, I made a mistake.” If he apologised for his mistakes, then they would be forgotten very soon. The truth is that Trump has trouble using the English language, so even if his intentions are ever good, nobody can recognise that. Most people understand that that is a requirement of his job.
