Some Mothers Do ‘Ave ‘Em

Michael Crawford created a uniquely funny yet sad character called Frank Spencer in 1973. Frank Spencer is a kind, well-meaning man, but he is incompetent and clumsy,  and he makes a lot of problems for everybody he meets. Somehow, his wife Betty always supports him. He has particular problems in getting jobs and keeping them.
Michael Crawford は、1973-1978年に放送された’Frank Spencer’ で、愉快で、少し悲しい主人公を好演しました。優しく、何事にも一生懸命取り組むが、ドジで失敗ばかりし、常に回りに迷惑をかけ、仕事につくことさえ困難なFrankを、妻Betty は我慢強くサポートします。
Michael Crawford は、後に　ロンドンで‘オペラ座の怪人’の怪人役をはじめとするミュージカルや演劇で活躍し、71歳の現在でも、舞台人として現役です。Frank Spencer から1話、オペラ座の怪人より、1シーンをご紹介します。
